Safflower oil, derived from the seeds of the safflower plant, is a commonly used cooking oil rich in monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats. As of current research, there's no direct evidence or studies linking safflower oil to an increase in histamine levels or its role as a histamine liberator. However, safflower oil does contain omega-6 fatty acids, which might potentiate inflammation when consumed in excess, and inflammation is implied with elevated histamine levels. This potential correlation needs more research for substantiation.
