Additional Informations

French Lentils, like other lentils and legumes, are not on the list of the main foods that are considered to have high histamine content or known to be potent histamine liberators. Notably, legumes can contain different levels of histamine depending on various factors including their ripeness, storage, and preparation methods. Similarly, lentils are also rich in B vitamins, particularly vitamin B1 (Thiamine) which is considered to have a crucial role in the metabolization of histamine. Some studies indicate that Thiamine could have a positive impact on the histamine metabolism by enhancing the activity of the enzyme DAO, which is responsible for breaking down histamine. However, not every person may respond to French Lentils or other legumes in the same way. Some people with histamine intolerance may find that they react to certain legumes while others do not. The severity of histamine intolerance as well as individual food sensitivities will play a role. Therefore, for individuals with histamine intolerance, consuming French Lentils needs to be done carefully. Consideration of personal tolerance and observing any undesirable symptoms upon consumption is advised. To the greatest extent possible, lentils should be used when fresh and kept in cool storage to minimize histamine accumulation. Preparation methods such as extensive soaking and proper cooking can also help reduce potentially present histamine. Unfortunately, there isn't extensive direct research on the impact of French Lentils on histamine levels specifically. This product has not been researched well enough to publish any information, our team is working hard on this. Data will be available soon.
